We have good leadership only by chance, not by management. And we need to change that!

About This Quote

When it comes to leadership, we often think of management as an important but secondary part of the process. Leadership is the main component and management is a tool used to support leadership. It’s a mistake to think that just because you have a good leader that means that everything will be fine. We have all heard the old saying, “A good leader will find a good manager.” What we forget is that a good manager will find a good leader.

When leaders do not have the skills required to lead, they look for those who do. It’s possible for someone who has never been in a leadership position to quickly become one with the proper training and experience. A leader must be able to inspire followers, motivate them, give them direction, and challenge them to grow both personally and professionally.
